Message from the President:
Hello,
How the time flies by and now we are into our 2nd week of fall quarter and classified staff are as busy as ever trying to get the students into classes, keeping the faculty members happy, and all with less resources. With the budget cuts I have to say it was great to see the turn out for the 2009 STTACC Conference held at Kiana Lodge on Bainbridge Island there were approximate 60 - 70 attendees at this year conference. Good job Olympic College, the committee members did an excellent job with the conference.

I would like to welcome first timers Lavina Goble, Eric Peterson, Lailee Daling, Wendy Irish and Jeanine Paluck to the Executive Board. Our first board meeting for the 2009 - 2010 academic years will be at Spokane Community College, on October 15, 2009. We will be discussing several items, Understanding the By-Law to make sure that we are following the rules set by our members, 2010 Tee-Up to Learning Conference update from Spokane and if you have anything you think the STTACC Executive Board should consider, please inform your college contact or your region coordinator.
The Rapper has a new name and will now be called the STTACC Chat. The winning name came from Lavine Goble. Thank you so much for taking the time to enter the contest and winning.
The fees that colleges are charged are changing, the new fee structure is going to be done by FTE's of classified staff employees. The new structure fee was introduced by Tim Anderson, Rapper Editor and voted upon and accepted by all members attending this year STTACC conference. This fee structure is very affordable and fair to all colleges. Thank you to Tim Anderson and Dawn Hawley for all of their hard work on this project.
