Welcome to the STTACC website.
Hi! My name is Randy Karnath and I am your STTACC President for the 2007-2008 year. I am employed at Grays Harbor College going on fifteen years, six as an assistant carpentry instructor and now as a maintenance mechanic II. I have been married to my wife (Karen) for 24 years. We have a 15 year old daughter (Kacy) who is a sophomore in High School.
Over the years of working in higher education in Washington, I have come to know the importance of STTACC and the many benefits it affords for classified staff in our state. We are a great organization that is working to bring quality training to state classified employees. You are an automatic member of STTACC if you are a classified staff employee in higher education in Washington State. We hope that you will become an active member and grow with us. There are many ways to do that from being active on your campus in whatever staff training committee you may have, attending the annual conference held once a year at a college location, or perhaps setting up a training at your campus and inviting other schools to participate with you. Part of our job as a STTACC board is to enable you to have as many ways to benefit from training and development as we can. Another important task is to make sure that your school administration is aware of all the contributions that classified staff makes to run our campuses smoothly and professionally.
I hope that you enjoy the STTACC website. We try to make it user friendly. If there is something that you would like to see added or changed just let us know and we will see what we can do. This is really YOUR website. The website has many areas so take a few minutes to look around and see what you can learn.

We would love to have suggestions about what you would like to see from our organization and what kind of training opportunities you would find useful in your professional development.
